China’s auto vehicles sales in June this year will likely record an increase from May levels, while the specific growth rate will depend on the promotion and sales activities on June 18 (a national shopping festival), though positive year-on-year growth in sales in the given month will be difficult to achieve due to the high base level in the same month last year, according to the forecast made by Cui Dongshu, secretary of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

Mr. Cui also indicated that price discounts will be an effective way to stimulate vehicle sales.
