China to invest RMB 18 billion in construction of affordable housing

On April 20, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao chaired a State Council executive meeting to plan priority work for national economic development in 2011.

One of the meeting's resolutions is that the Chinese central government will invest RMB 18 billion ($2.7576 billion) in the construction of public rental housing and low-cost housing.
