China has set a target of between 6.0 percent and 6.5 percent for gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2019 as it continues to pursue higher-quality development amid many uncertainties in the global economy, as announced by Chinese premier Li Keqiang at the 13th National People’s Congress in Beijing on March 5.

Meanwhile, China has also set a target of three percent for consumer inflation growth in 2019.
