China imports 65.54 million mt of iron ore in January

China imported 65.54 million mt of iron ore in January this year, up by 11 percent year on year, but down by 5.4 million mt compared to December 2012, as announced by China’s General Administration of Customs on February 8.
 
In addition, in January China imported 30.55 million mt of coal and 1.1 million mt of finished steel, up by 56.3 percent and 20.5 percent year on year, respectively.
