China's central bank has announced its decision to lower the reserve requirement ratio (RRR) - the minimum level of deposits banks must hold - by 0.5 percentage points (pp) effective from June 28 for banks whose lending to small businesses and the agricultural sector meets the regulators' targets.
On April 20, China's central bank had cut the benchmark reserve requirement ratio by one percentage point for all banks.
