Chile's Cintac sees profit rise in 2017

Chilean steel service center Cintac saw its net profit in the full year of 2017 rise 15 percent, year-on-year, to $15.7 million, the company said.

Net revenues in 2017 totaled $266.7 million, 15.3 percent up, year-on-year, due to improved steel selling prices, which rose 6.3 percent, year-on-year, and increased steel sales volumes. Steel sales volumes in 2017 totaled 304,000 mt, 24,000 mt more when compared to 2016.

Cintac currently operates in Chile and Peru with four processing centers: Cintac SAIC, Centroacero, Tupmesa and Instapanel.
