Chilean iron ore and steelmaking holding CAP Group announced this week it has acquired two Peruvian companies through local subsidiary Steel Building SAC. CAP Group paid $4.5 million to buy Sehover and Signo Vial, which focus on infrastructure, among other things.

CAP Group has already bought a 70 percent stake at Peruvian civil constructional materials manufacturer Calaminon for $40 million in July this year, as reported by SteelOrbis. Calaminon owns several companies, including a steel framing producer, and Tubos SAC, a structural tubing producer.

CAP Group also owns Peruvian tube maker Tupemesa. CAP Group said the acquisition of Sehover and Signo Vial strengthen the holding’s growing interest in the Peruvian market.
