Chengdu Steel & Vanadium sells 100,400 mt of steel pipe in March

On April 11, Sichuan Province-based Chinese steel producer Chengdu Steel & Vanadium Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Sichuan-based steelmaker Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group (Pangang Group), announced that in March this year it sold 100,400 mt of steel pipe, up 34.4 percent or 25,700 mt month on month. The sales volume included 22,860 mt of exports, up 75 percent or 12,300 mt compared to February.

Meanwhile, Pangang Group has announced that its subsidiary Pangang Energy Technology Co. has signed an agreement with US-based Caterpillar Inc. to develop 1E1268 steel track shoes for application in Caterpillar D8 bulldozers. Accordingly, Pangang Energy Technology Co. will provide test samples in October this year and deliver required supplies in batches up to May 2014.
