Chengde Steel’s vanadium plant produces 416,700 mt of crude steel in Jan

According to Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group, in January of the current year its subsidiary Chengde Steel’s vanadium steel plant produced 416,700 mt of crude steel and 10,199 mt of vanadium slag, respectively equivalent to 101.64 percent and 105.1 percent of the production targets for the month.
 
Meanwhile, in 2012 another Hebei Steel Group subsidiary, Wuyang Steel, developed thick specification, hydrogen embrittlement-resistant 12Cr2Mo1R steel plate for application in the coal chemical industry, marking a breakthrough in the development of this product.
