Chengde Steel supplies rebar for gas-cooled nuclear power reactor

Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its Hebei-based subsidiary Chengde Iron and Steel Co. has supplied vanadium-added high-strength anti-seismic rebar for the first high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor in China, at the Shidao Bay nuclear power station.
 
Chengde Steel has previously supplied vanadium-added high-strength anti-seismic rebar to nuclear power station projects in Qinshan, Fangjiashan, Taishan and Hongyanhe. The steelmaker has a 20 percent share of the market for rebar supplied to nuclear power stations in China
