Chengde Steel completes upgrading of converters at subsidiary

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Co. has announced that on March 9 its subsidiary Chengde Iron and Steel Company (Chengde Steel) commissioned a third upgraded 150 mt converter at its Shandong Province-based facility No.1 Steelmaking and Vanadium-Extracting Plant.

Accordingly, the project for the upgrading of all three 150 mt converters at No.1 Steelmaking and Vanadium-Extracting Plant has been completed, with the three upgraded converters now all having been commissioned.
