Iranian flat steel producer Chaharmahal Bakhtiari Auto Sheet Co. (CBASCO) produced 40,000 mt of hot dip galvanized (HDG) for the automotive industry in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
CBASCO, which was put into operation in early 2011, is the only Iranian steel mill capable of producing HDG for the automotive industry. The steelmaker has a designed annual capacity of 400,000 mt of HDG.
