The Institute of Finance and Trade Economics (IFTE) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) has stated in its quarterly analysis of China’s macro-economic situation that China’s gross domestic product (GDP) will likely increase by 6.9 percent for the whole of 2015 and will likely rise by 6.7 percent in 2016.
Meanwhile, the analysis also indicated that China’s consumer price index (CPI) is expected to increase by 1.4 percent for the whole of 2015 and will likely rise by 1.3 percent in 2016.
