Capacity replacement details issued for Minhang Special Steel

The Industry and Information Technology Commission of China's Xinjiang Autonomous Region has issued the capacity replacement details relating to one 50 mt electric furnace and one 100 mt electric furnace to be built by Xinjiang-based Minhang Special Steel Co., a subsidiary of Xinjiang-based Minxin Iron and Steel, and the planned elimination of one 40 mt converter and two 40 mt electric furnaces owned by Minhang Special Steel. Accordingly, the new 50 mt electric furnace and 100 mt electric furnace will together have an annual steelmaking capacity of 1.11 million mt, replacing the old converter and electric furnaces of Minhang Special Steel which have a combined annual steelmaking capacity of 1.12 million mt.
