Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 3 the US rotary rig count decreased by 11 to 898 rigs following a four-rig decrease the week before. The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by three to 169 while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by eight to 729. The overall rig count is now up by 329 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by one to 192 rigs in the week ending November 3 following an 11-rig decrease the week before. The Canadian rig count is now up by 38 rigs from the same week a year ago.
