According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in March totaled 189,971 units, reflecting an increase of 48.1 percent month-on-month but a decrease of 0.4 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in March totaled $7.94 billion, compared to $5.34 billion in February and $7.54 billion in March 2017.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 144,252 units in March at a value of $6.06 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 45,719 units at a value of $1.88 billion.
