According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in September totaled 177,825 units, reflecting a decrease of 3.9 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 6.7 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in September totaled $7.42 billion, compared to $7.35 billion in August and $7.69 billion in September 2017.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 132,662 units in September at a value of $5.64 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 45,163 units at a value of $1.78 billion.
