According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in September 2019 totaled 169,967 units, reflecting a decrease of 8.7 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 5.1 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in September totaled $7.53 billion, compared to $7.95 billion in August and $7.49 billion in September 2018.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 126,165 units in September at a value of $5.67 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 43,802 units at a value of $1.86 billion.
