According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in June totaled 204,415 units, reflecting a decrease of 7.2 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 1.3 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in June totaled $8.49 billion, compared to $9.22 billion in May and $8.29 billion in June 2017.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 151,787 units in June at a value of $6.40 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 52,628 units at a value of $2.09 billion.
