According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in July totaled 179,587 units, reflecting a decrease of 12.1 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 2.8 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in July totaled $7.33 billion, compared to $8.49 billion in June and $7.29 billion in July 2017.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 132,837 units in July at a value of $5.54 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 46,750 units at a value of $1.79 billion.
