According to Statistics Canada, new motor vehicle sales in April 2019 totaled 185,390 units, reflecting a decrease of 0.6 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 5.3 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in April totaled $8.06 billion, compared to $8.07 billion in March and $8.24 billion in April 2018.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 138,550 units in April at a value of $6.09 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 46,840 units at a value of $1.97 billion.
