Canadian iron ore production up 39.6 percent in January

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 6,991,313 mt of iron ore concentrates in January, up 39.6 percent from December and up 43.9 percent from January 2022.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,252,440 mt of iron ore concentrates in January, up 7.8 percent from December and up 43.1 percent from January 2022.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 10,603,824 mt in January, compared to 8,445,748 mt in December and 5,199,041 mt in January 2022.
