Canadian iron ore production up 1.5 percent in April

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,084,567 mt of iron ore concentrates in April, up 1.5 percent from March and up 24.3 percent from April 2020.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,272,842  mt of iron ore concentrates in April, up 2.3 percent from March and up 11.5 percent from April 2020.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 5,806,776 mt in April, compared to 4,946,377 mt in March and 6,009,127 mt in April 2020.
