Canadian coking coal production up 6.8 percent in March

According to Statistics Canada, coking coal production reached 202,905 mt in March 2018, up 6.8 percent from the 189,917 mt produced in February. On a year-on-year analysis, coking coal production was up 12.1 percent from the 180,974 mt reported in March 2017.

The supply of coking coal in Canada in March reached 264,575 mt, which represents an 8.6 percent increase from the 243,680 mt of supply in February, and a 1.9 percent increase from the 259,721 mt of supply in March 2017.
