Canadian coking coal production falls 2.7 percent year-on-year in March

According to Statistics Canada, coking coal production reached 180,974 mt in March 2017, down 2.7 percent from the 185,918 mt produced in March 2016. Production totals from February 2017 were not available.
 
The supply of coking coal in Canada in March reached 259,721 mt, which represents an 18.1 percent increase from supply levels in February but an 8.8 percent decrease from supply levels in March 2016.
