Canada finds dumping in corrosion-resistant sheet imports from four countries

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced that it has made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect of certain corrosion-resistant steel sheet from China, Taiwan, India and South Korea.

The investigation was launched by a complaint filed by ArcelorMittal Dofasco G.P.

Provisional antidumping duty rates stand at the range of 7.3-44.2 percent for China, 2.5-24.7 percent for Taiwan, 8.7-39.3 percent for South Korea and at 39.3 percent from India.

The products subject to the preliminary determination currently fall under the Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210.30.00.00, 7210.49.00.10, 7210.49.00.20, 7210.49.00.30, 7210.61.00.00, 7210.69.00.10, 7210.69.00.20, 7212.20.00.00, 7212.30.00.00, 7212.50.00.00, 7212.50.00.14, 7225.91.00.00, 7225.92.00.00 and 7226.99.00.10.

CBSA stated that the provisional duty will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after October 24, 2018.
