Vehicle sales in China in January this year will likely indicate a slight decrease compared to December of last year, as announced by the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).
In late January this year, Chinese consumers will be back in their home towns or travelling during the Chinese New Year holiday period, which will negatively affect vehicle purchases. Meanwhile, some consumers are expected to wait for the period after the long holiday before concluding purchases.
Auto sales in China are expected to decrease by 10 percent year on year in 2020 to 22.5 million units, as previously stated by Lang Xuehong, CADA secretary general, in early December.
