CAAM: China’s auto exports up 35 percent in January-August

In August this year, China’s auto export volume totaled 89,000 units, down 4.9 percent month on month, while increasing by 21.2 percent year on year, including 66,000 passenger vehicles and 23,000 commercial vehicles, up 24.6 percent and 12.8 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In the January-August period of the current year, China’s auto export volume totaled 729,000 units, rising by 35.0 percent year on year, including 543,000 passenger vehicles and 186,000 commercial vehicles, increasing by 45.4 percent and 13.0 percent year on year, respectively.
