CAAM: China’s auto output decreases by 13.0 percent in January-May

In May this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China totaled 1.848 million units and 1.913 million units, down 21.2 percent and 16.4 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In the January-May period of the current year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China totaled 10.237 million units and 10.266 million units, both down 13.0 percent year on year, respectively, with these declines 2.0 percentage points and 0.8 percentage points larger than those recorded in the January-April period this year.
