In September this year, the output of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 2.29 million units, rising by 28.4 percent month on month, while sales volumes totaled 2.34 million units, up 24.9 percent month on month, while increasing by 2.9 percent and 3.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-September period of the current year, the output of passenger vehicles in China totaled 17.33 million units, rising by three percent, while sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 17.15 million units, up 2.4 percent, both year on year.
As for commercial vehicles, the domestic output volume in September amounted to 374,000 units, increasing by 23.3 percent month on month, while sales came to 367,000 units, up 17.9 percent month on month, while increasing by 25 percent and 23.9 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-September period of the current year, domestic output of commercial vehicles totaled 3.02 million units, up 16 percent, with sales amounting to 3.07 million units, rising by 17.9 percent, both year on year.
