CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 3.2 percent in H1

In June this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.931 million units and 1.874 million units, increasing by 4.7 percent and 2.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-June period of the current year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 11.854 million units and 11.775 million units, rising by 3.2 percent and 4.6 percent year on year, respectively.

As for commercial vehicles, the output and sales volumes in June amounted to 359,000 units and 399,000 units, increasing by 12.2 percent and 18.2 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-June period of the current year, output and sales of commercial vehicles in China totaled 2.204 million units and 2.291 million units, rising by 9.4 percent and 10.6 percent year on year, respectively.
