CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 2.2 percent in Jan-Nov

In November this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 2.669 million units and 2.589 million units, increasing by 20.0 percent and 10.1 percent month on month, respectively, while the respective volumes increased by 1.2 percent and remained stable year on year, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-November period of the current year, the output of passenger vehicles in China totaled 22.222 million units, rising by 2.2 percent, while sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 22.091 million units, up 1.9 percent, both year on year.  

As for commercial vehicles, the domestic output volume and sales volume in November amounted to 411,000 units and 368,000 units, increasing by 11.0 percent and 7.3 percent month on month, respectively, with respective year-on-year increases of 10.4 percent and 5.6 percent. In the January-November period of the current year, domestic output of commercial vehicles totaled 3.777 million units, up 15.0 percent, with sales amounting to 3.754 million units, rising 14.8 percent, both year on year.
