CAAM: China's auto vehicle output up 25.8 percent in June 1-20

In the June 1-20 period this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles of 11 major vehicle producers in China amounted to 1.427 million units and 1.083 million units, respectively, up 25.8 percent and 18.1 percent compared to the May 1-20 period, while rising by 45.9 percent and 15.7 percent year on year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, in early June (June 1-10) this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles of 11 major vehicle producers in China amounted to 700,000 units and 494,000 units, respectively, up 63.4 percent and 40.8 percent compared to early May (May 1-10), while rising by 86.1 percent and 34 percent year on year,

The emergence of more coronavirus cases in Beijing has negatively affected the market due to the stringent measures implemented to cope with the new outbreak.

Meanwhile, CAAM has forecast that vehicle sales in China in 2020 will likely decrease by 10-20 percent year on year.
