Bulgarian steelmaker Radomir Metal Industries, located in the western Bulgarian town of Radomir, plans to build a solar park on its premises, Sofia News Agency has reported.

The solar panels will be spread on an area of 140 hectares in an industrial zone, as well as on the roofs of the buildings that the plant encompasses.

The total investment will amount to €120 million and will be provided by two unnamed German banks. The loan will have to be repaid within fifteen years. The completion of the first stage of the solar park construction has been scheduled for the end of this year and it will secure a 50MWh output.
