BSG commissions fine welding equipment for its LD spiral welded pipes

Shanxi Province-based Chinese welded pipe manufacturer Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. (BSG), a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Co. (CNPC), has commissioned fine welding equipment for its large diameter (LD) spiral welded pipe production following 10 months of preparatory work, as reported by CNPC. With its new equipment, Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. is now able to produce 100 grade spiral welded pipe of 1,422 mm in diameter and with wall thickness of 22 mm.

In addition, construction work on the project in question caused a production halt lasting only 60 days at one of BSG's production lines, while the company's output of high grade steel pipe during this period amounted to 201,600 mt.
