Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 25.9 million mt in June, falling 3.4 percent compared to May this year and up by 1.5 percent compared to the same month of 2011, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore export value in June this year decreased slightly by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month and fell by 21.2 percent compared to the same month of 2011, totaling $2.75 billion.
In June of the current year, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 536,606 mt, decreasing 18.2 percent compared to the previous month and down 28.3 percent compared to the same month of 2011, while these exports were valued at $317.7 million, decreasing 19.9 percent compared to May and down 38.7 percent year on year.
