Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in February this year increased by 6.5 percent from the previous month and fell by 20.8 percent year on year to 204,197 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-February period of 2020, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) declined by 13.4 percent year on year to 395,928 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 200,997 units in February this year, rising by 3.9 percent when compared to January and up 1.2 percent year on year. In the January-February period, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by one percent year on year to 394,456 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in February (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 37,677 units, increasing by 83.4 percent compared to the previous month and down by seven percent year on year. In the first two months of the current year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 58,226 units, falling by 11.2 percent year on year.
