Brazil's flat, long output up

Brazilian Steel Association IBS has disclosed that the country's flat and long steel production recorded an increase in November. Flat steel output rose 1.9 percent year on year to 1.23 million metric tons in November. In addition, year-to-date production increased 1.8 percent year on year to 13.2 million metric tons. Long steel production amounted to 744,000 metric tons in November, up 0.5 percent year on year. Output in the first eleven months of this year, reached 8.4 million metric tons an increase of 8.6 percent from a year earlier.
