Brazilian civil construction activity up in October

Brazilian civil construction activity in October slightly rose to 47.7 points, from 46.9 points in the same month of the year prior, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 indicate growth, according to data released by the nation’s confederation of industries (CNI).

According to CNI’s data, local civil construction activity in October also improved from 45.7 points in September this year.

The civil construction capacity utilization in October reached 59 percent, same as in October 2017, but was down from 61 percent in September this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the local civil construction sector grew to 44.9 points in October this year from 43.1 points in October 2017.  In October, the indicator dropped from 45.1 points in September this year.
