Brazilian civil construction activity up in June

Brazilian civil construction activity in June rose to 46.7 points, from 42.8 points in June 2017, in a scale from zero to 100 in which values above 50 show growth, according to the country’s confederation of industries (CNI).  Local civil construction activity in June also rose from 44.4 points in May this year.

CNI said the industry’s capacity utilization in June grew to 59 percent, from 55 percent in June 2017, and from 57 percent in May this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the local civil construction segment increased to 43.4 points in June from 41.8 points in June 2017, but dropped when compared to 44.3 points in May this year.
