Brazilian civil construction activity up in July

Brazilian civil construction activity in July rose to 48 points, from 42.8 points in July 2017, in a scale from zero to 100 in which values above 50 show growth, according to the country’s confederation of industries (CNI).

According to CNI, Brazilian civil construction activity in July also grew from 46.7 points in June this year.

CNI said the industry’s capacity utilization in July was 58 percent, up from 55 percent in July 2017, but down from 59 percent in June this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the local civil construction sector improved to 46.2 points in July this year from 42.6 points in July 2017. It was also up from 43.4 points in June this year.
