Brazilian civil construction activity up in February

Brazilian civil construction activity in February increased to 46.2 points from 40.3 points in the same month of the year prior, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to a report from the country’s confederation of industries (CNI).

In a monthly analysis, local civil construction activity in February increased from 45.6 points in January this year.

The industry’s capacity utilization in February reached 57 percent, up from 53 percent in February 2017, but down from 60 percent in January this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the local civil construction industry grew to 44.1 points in February, up from 38.9 points in the same month of 2017. The same indicator also improved from 43.9 points in January this year.
