Brazilian civil construction activity slightly improves in July

Brazilian civil construction activity in July slightly grew to 48.4 points, from 48 points in July 2018, on a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to the local confederation of industries (CNI). Local civil construction activity in July slightly rose from 48.2 points in June 2019.

CNI said capacity utilization in the Brazilian civil construction sector reached 57 percent in July, down from 58 percent in July 2018 but stable from 57 percent in June 2019.

CNI said the indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment increased to 47.3 points in July 2019 from 46.2 points in July 2018. It also slightly increased from 47.2 points in June 2019.
