Activity in the Brazilian civil construction segment in June grew to 48.2 points, from 46.7 points in June 2018, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to the local confederation of industries (CNI). Local civil construction activity in June also increased from 46.9 points in May 2019.
Capacity utilization of the local civil construction sector in June was 57 percent, down from 59 percent in June 2018 but up from 56 percent in May 2019.
CNI said the indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment rose to 47.2 points in June 2019 from 43.4 points in June 2018. It also rose from 45 points in May 2019.
