Brazilian civil construction activity improves in December

Civil construction activity in Brazil in December 2019 rose to 45.8 points, up from 44.4 points in December 2018, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, said the Brazilian confederation of industries (CNI) said. Local civil construction activity in December decreased from 49 points in November 2019.

According to CNI, Brazilian civil construction capacity utilization in the last month of the year reached 59 percent, up from 57 percent in December 2018, but down from 62 percent when compared to November 2019.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the sector increased to 45.1 points in December 2019, from 42.8 points in December 2018, but dropped from 47.4 points in November 2019.
