Brazilian transportation regulator ANTT rejected on Monday a request from local miner and iron ore producer Vale to change production targets for its Carajas railway, which transports iron ore.

ANTT said Vale should keep its already established production goals for the Carajas railway.

A resolution dated of May 17 this year sets different production goals for the Carajas railway at different points, from the Ponta da Madeira (11,994,169 TU) to the Maraba (1,309,169 TU) stretches of the railway.
