Brazil exports 15.94 million tons iron ore to China

Based on Brazil Customs, Brazil totally exported 15.94 million tons of iron ore to China during January-April 2005, down 4% year on year. Among the total, export quantity of unsintered iron ore totaled 13.89 million tons with $288 million in trade value, up 29.1% year on year; and that of sintered iron ore totaled 2.05 million tons, down 38% of 1.29 million tons against the quantity of 3.34 million tons in the same period previous year, meanwhile, the export value of sintered iron ore totaled $78.41 million, down 37.7% of $108 million year on year.
