Borusan Mannesmann’s sales revenues up 19 percent in 2015

Turkey-based steel pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann Boru has announced its financial results for the full year of 2015. In 2015, Borusan Mannesmann’s profit before tax increased by 38.6 percent year on year to TRY 51.5 million ($17.5 million), while the company’s sales revenues amounted to TRY 1.95 billion ($661.9 million), rising by 19 percent compared to the previous year.
 
In 2015, premium quality product sales of the company increased by five percent to 735,000 mt compared to 2014, mainly due to the increase in high value-added steel pipe sales. In the same year, exports sales accounted for 58 percent of total sales.

In addition, in the given year the company’s pipe sales to the automotive industry increased by eight percent, and its pressurized, special and spiral product sales rose 16 percent, both compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the company’s turnover from value-added spirally-welded pipe sales accounted for 30 percent of total premium quality product sales.
