Borusan Mannesmann sees improved sales in January-September

Turkey-based steel pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann Boru has announced its financial results for the first nine months of the current year. In the given period, Borusan Mannesmann posted a net profit of TRY 36.8 million ($12.6 million), up 70.6 percent year on year, while the company’s sales revenues amounted to TRY 1.4 billion ($479.8 million), rising by 28 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
 
In the first nine months of this year, premium quality product sales of the company increased by 10.6 percent to 530,000 mt compared to the same period of 2014, while the sales of value-added products including pressurized, special and spiral products accounted for 57 percent of total sales. In the January-September period this year, the company’s premium quality product export volume increased by 18 percent year on year.
 
Borusan Mannesmann reiterated that the countervailing duty announced by the US on OCTG pipe imports will not affect the company’s position in the OCTG pipe market.
