Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that it plans to increase sales volume of rounds in Europe in December this year.

Previous sales volumes of rounds to Europe totaled about 4,000-5,000 mt per month, but in December due to joint efforts of various departments and services of the enterprise the volume will reach 13,000 mt.

The products are from the rolling mill 850 of BMZ, which is capable of producing rounds with a diameter range of 80 mm to 160 mm, and squares with sizes of 100 mm, 125 mm and 135 mm. After the startup of a new light-section rolling mill planned for December 2014, the range of products will be expanded significantly. The new mill will have the capacity to manufacture rounds with diameter from 20 mm to 80 mm and squares with sides from 17 mm to 70 mm. Thereby, the range of rounds manufactured by BMZ will be from 20 mm to 160 mm, and this is expected to help expand the presence of BMZ in the European market.
